1. Pick the access methods you will really use
Smart locks can open in more than one way. Fingerprint access is convenient for daily use, and it helps to know what backup way in the lock offers if you cannot use it. Ask us which methods the model you like supports.
2. Check that it fits your door
Door type, thickness and the existing lock body all affect whether a smart lock fits. Send us a photo of your door and lock on WhatsApp and we will help you confirm before you order.
3. Think about power
Many smart locks run on batteries. Check what powers the model, and how it warns you when power is low.
4. Consider the weather
An entrance door exposed to sun, dust or rain needs a lock designed for it. Weather-resistant models are the safer choice for outdoor-facing doors.
5. Family and office needs
If you have children, look for a child safety lock. For offices and rentals, think about who needs access and how you will manage it.
